God Hears

It was a confusing, uncertain rhyme,

And we feared the passage of time,

Our hearts were pure and straight,

As we prayerfully endured the wait,

Our Saints filled in with joy,

Our souls were never amiss,

While we prayed for a man of God,

To carry us through the abyss,

Then came that man so full of love,

He proved his knowing of God above,

His faith and guinness could not be masked,

So how do we deserve him? To God we asked.

He sent him to us who so urgently prayed,

To pastor our Church as we have not strayed,

We've followed God's word, and we have obeyed,

We're thankful and blessed,

And will not be swayed.
